TIMEF that focused on various projects to empower local media used another EU funding for an international cooperation through Unye TV owned by TIMEF Chairman Sakir Gurel. The project, titled “From Unye to the World, Media Opening to Europe,” provided hands on capacity development trainings for media organizations fromUnye, Ordu, Samsun, and the Black Sea Region. The project also involved a study visit to the selected pilot country, the Netherlands, for observing the work of Dutch Media and learning about “individual broadcasting model” that was significantly developed in this country as well.
